I used to be a very ardent believer of the fast approaching day of the apocalypse in 2012. I argued that there were seven theories, all very convincing and believable, so it HAD to be true! My belief in something as improbable as that, though ironic it does sound, changed my perception of life completely! For the better of course! though I dont believe thats likely to happen anymore, I most certainly do believe that life has to be lead to the fullest! Wat is the point in 'crying over spilt milk?'
Now the purpose of our existence is a topic of un- ending discussion. As there are pessimists and optimists in this world, in my recent knowledge, I have also come across non-believers. The extent of my vocabulary fails to accommodate what they are called in the English language, but i do not feel the need to look up the word either. This section of people can be found in deep dark corners, unwilling to come out of their world of darkness where color has reached where we all have to go when the time comes. They argue that living this life, that breathing, that every action of ours is futile. Wondering why? Because, they say, we are but going to be a part of the soil, going to fly to the netherworld, not going to have our senses, ultimately!!!
Most of you, on immediate reading, would most certainly look into the question, and would most likely be hit by the enormity of truth in this view toward existence! snap out of it!
While all of us, lead our own lives, in our own unique way, we as humans fail to connect with the small things in life that really do matter.Where has the soil we walk on come from? The trees? The ant that infested my sugar container today? The crow that spoilt my dress this morning? The homeless man on the streets? and many more living , breathing organisms. How many of us have thought of how Darwin came out with his theory on evolution and the trials he had to face in proving it,in it's acceptance and later on belief, him being part of a society, that believed solely on the god almighty's creation of a man and a woman. However, we have all studied about the theory blindly from the vast pieces of tree barks, bound together.I will not deny that people have different beliefs, and i respect those who believe in science and the supernatural, equally, but when one really delves into the depths of science, we shall discover a new meaning to our 'pointless' existence.
We,homo sapiens, have been given the wonderful power of the sixth sense, which makes cognition possible. Thinking is a very integral and important aspect of a humans life. We think every waking moment, sometimes, even in our sleep. Being bestowed with a skill of such great magnitude, it is in our hands to streamline it in conjunction to how beneficial it is to us. In the context of my argument, towards how being alive and kicking is the best thing that could ever happen to us. every breath one takes is an indication that he is alive, but it carries no meaning whatsoever, if that soul has resigned to thinking about the inevitable end. Perception is the key that locks the door of futility. Perceiving the water as blue, makes water inviting. Perceiving life as colorful, is bound to make living worth every breath. One minute of life wasted, is an opportunity to enjoy gone by. Death is an inevitable consequence of our entry into this beautiful world. Stress on the latter part of the sentence makes the world the best place, but on the former part, makes death loom large on your face. Moment by moment replay of the years you have lived will present to you the dynamics of life, its exquisiteness and magnificence. The past one hour of my writing this, has enriched my life, giving me an insight into myself, and has enriched you, giving you an insight into how you look at this world. Life is to be lived, to be breathed, and to be loved. It is to be lived NOW,to be be reminisced, and to think of good things to come. I'm not preaching that we live in a world of unreality, it is important that we be realistic too, but even that has to be done with joy, without our last breath hindering the high we must experience now.
We rely on beliefs like fate and destiny to camouflage our insecurities about the world. It is time we begin to rely on ourselves to change our thoughts that will change our lives.
Cherish being alive now,the splendor of life, the vivacity of each and every breath you take.
SMILE :)
